Turbo; JH or PL?

Gee Larry. What am I trying to say?
Well I don't know how anybody could interpret your original remark below any other way than building an 8V turbo is naive. As far as I can tell that means the same thing as building an 8V turbo would only be done by somebody that was very unknowledgeable i.e. naive.
So, by inference your telling me I'm unknowledgeable and yet your son has an 8V turbo that I presume you helped him with. But perhaps your help was limited to telling him how naive he was to attempt it?

In any event after saying building an 8V turbo is naive then you go on at great length backing up from that telling us that any engine will do, just turn up the boost.
I have to admit I'm confused. What exactly do you think, "Naive? You ever build a turbo 8V, Dan? That's naive." means?

  4) I don't understand what you are trying to say in your last sentence. If you care to re-phrase it, I'd be happy to try to respond.

I do have to admit I'm curious about how naive you were to participate in building your son's 8V turbo.
