Rebuilding with molly lub

Shawn,
Don't be afraid to use the ND30 weight. You'll only have it in there a short while and you don't need heavier oil on a fresh engine.
It may not be easy to find heavier oil that is ND anyway....
Ask for, get and use the ASSEMBLY LUBE! It is the moly-based stuff you want. It should be available at most FLAPS.
Use it to lube the:
cam bearings and lobes
main bearings
rod bearings
balance shaft bearings (as applicable)
piston pins
any other bearing surfaces I may have overlooked
...don't forget to prime that new oil pump before you install it!

You won't find a non-detergent multi-grade motor oil, I don't think. I believe all NDs are single grade.
By the way, I would use assembly lube, not just motor oil.

So using ND30 is fine. Good that was what i was planning on doing. I know i
was told i should run ND20w50 for engine break in but i am having a hard
time finding it. Anyideas? I live in winnipeg, manitoba, canada.
