interesting how this has gone from a small newsletter to a full-blown
rag mag. this sounds like it'd be full of pics which wouldn't be bad if
you didn't mind black or grey-scale. talking about four-colour process
(which we could do) wouldn't be worth it, especially for only 30. if
you'd want a 8.5x11 newsletter i could probably get away with it for a
steak dinner. if it were something larger then you'd want to look
elsewhere. in all honesty, i've work on newsletters that were eight
pages and the content was poor. there's only so much one can do. on the
hand, if this were a, say, quarterly thing, we could get people to write
articles on various things. aftermarket exhausts, shocks and springs,
autocorssing, get togethers, whatever. the problem is that most people
don't really look at or even want the same thing. some are big on
after-market wheels. i honestly prefer the stock look of the scirocco's
unless they are completely restyled. you also have to consider the cost
of mailing these. for a tabloid you'd probably be looking at $1.50 or
more to mail (assuming it's around 50). if you'd be wanting to do a
smaller newsletter with a wider subscription base (at least 200) you
could get that price down to .14 per piece. at any rate, a ream of paper
is around $6 which is 250 sheets (or 500 depending). the whole job could
be done for probably around $20 if only black. colours are substantially
more (because of clean-up charges). like i said, though, i could
probably get away with it cheap if it's kept simple.
