Well, for the DPR to work properly, a good O2 sensor is always best, but
DPR is just an adjustment over and above the basic CIS, based on info from
the O2 sensor. A tweak on the fly as it were.

I'd tune with the O2 sensor hooked up and use the meter. (I think my target
number is about 5.5 mA plus or minus, but I'll double check that, I have a
terrible memory for numbers. Give me a Latin plant name and it's in there
for life, but not numbers...) Anyway I had a few nice professional mechanic
types try to tune my straight CIS car by ear, and that's why I bought a
wideband. :)
Mind you, that car was untuneable in the state it was in, due to a bad fuel
distributor. And of course, that one also had no DPR current to measure
either. Ear is fine, numbers are better.
