Dry rot

Not being trusting of dealerships and mechs in general these days, I
kind of felt the same way.

Think in these terms: If your car sat for ~2 years and you don't know
how often it was started and run (I think it had ~60 miles on it when
it was bought and ~120 when I got it), nor if anything was done to it
prior to sitting or during the sit (first oil filter was a bitch to
remove and the wipers suck ass (soon to be replaced)), what would you
look for in terms of stuff-that-goes-bad-just-from-sitting?

Reasons for concern or just BS?
