Dry rot



I don't think on a car that sat for a year it's gonna be a huge deal, but
on one that's been sitting a long time rubber items would be the concern I
suppose. I'd heard somewhere that five years is about a normal lifespan for
rubber items, but that would depend on temperature too I imagine. Somehow I
don't think an 05 would be too worrisome in that regard. I got a 51 Chevy
from my great aunt at one point, THAT one was more concerning, it still had
a lot of OEM parts on it in the late eighties! Maybe she was thinking that
you were putting on miles about as fast as my great aunt did. :P
