stripped wiper shafts and solutions?

The knurled wiper shafts where the wiper arms attached
have been mysteriously stripped by some dolt on one of
my roccos.  Err...

Anyhow, on the shaft itself, the knurled section
appears as a metal cap that is held over the teat of
the shaft by a snapring.  It looks to me like these
can be replaced?  Hopefully so as I'd rather not get
new wiper shafts as an assembly (blah).

Lesson - when you need to get out of town but want to
get something done on a rocco beforehand, forget
getting something done and leave early.
