Sorry, Nate.  The list was created so that flames and arrows would have a proper venue....that's how families operate.  Every post grants implied permission to "take this where you wish".

 Why should the thread that you started be special/any different?

Glad you got the info you wanted.  
The rest of us got the entertainment that the Scirocco list is famous for. 
Sound like a fair deal to me.

In other words; the system is working.

Bottom line:  Don't be selfish; you aren't the only person who deserves to get something out of a thread. 
Even your own thread.
