9.4 brakes

On the subject of brakes, I'm swapping the tiny solid fronts on my 79 for
vented 9.4 inch from a GTi. I was wondering if there is a difference between
the bearing housings. And is there a difference between the 9.4 housings and
the 10.1's? Thanks for all the help.  Jeff
P.S. I'll be upgrading to bigger drums, not installing discs. :)
