My clutch?? I thought it was my clutch...now I'm not so sure.

Pulled the tranny, 'cause my pedal went to the floor the other day. No, the
cable wasn't broken. You could pull the lever up at the trans very easily,
way past the point where you're supposed to feel resistance and the clutch
is supposed to disengage. But my clutch doesn't disengage.

Knowing I had a good and connected cable, I proceeded to take the green end
cap off and check the arm and lever. No cracks, everything working.
Checked the throwout bearing for collapse. No problem there.

Pulled the tranny, expecting to see a hole in the pushplate or a deformed
rod....nothing.
Pressure plate looks ok. Clutch worn, but looks ok. Rod is fine.

I remember experiencing this many years ago and it being the result of a
pressure plate failing. Like the fingers had collapsed or something...I
could be mistaken....I hope that's what's going on here, as I have a new
clutch but no indication that it'll fix my problem.

Your thoughts and advice is appreciated!!
