Crossmember Bar design

Yes Jorge, they have.

I've sold around 20% of the bars to people with rabbits, 8v roccos and Mk1
Jettas that expressed they had a cracked crossmember. Its a dramatically
lower number compared to the 16v rocco folks.

Next time you have an 8v and a 16v rocco side by side...notice how much
larger the air intake hole is in the x-member on the 16v...then couple
that with the fact that the x-member tends to crack at that hole first,
and the cars had 50 hp more than the chassis was designed for...

I've always belived that the 16v roccos were more prone to cracking for
the above two reasons. (and many have done it on stock engines...while
the no 16v A1 crowd seems to bring it out with serious abuse or HP)
