Crossmember Bar design

I'm curious. Has anyone ever cracked an 8V crossmember??(anyone still using
an 8V motor, or something of equivalent weight but with more power) I
don't think I know of anyone cracking one that didn't have a 16V swapped in.

The GLI I'm parting out right now has had a front poly mount and all other's
OEM for the past 10 years at least and has no sign of crackage.(It's got a
JH with a header and maybe a cam) This car was driven HARD too, it had at
least 10 different people learn standard in it(including myself), and went
through 3 first time drivers(as is, "hey check it out I can spin the wheels"
and lots of other stupid shit, over, and over, and over. lol).
