New rear stress bar

Okay, guys...

1. I was talking about the front UPPER stress bar (the lower bar, I believe, has a good purpose). These units, while they do bolt to the body itself...rather than a rubber-mounted suspension piece...are not straight. Since they curve up, over, and down again they cannot effectively control stresses either in tension or compression; they are just too flexible. No one can effectively argue with that.

2. I have both a Neuspeed front/upper bar and a rear bar on my 'Roc (along with the front lower, which I've never taken off so don't know about the before/after effects). I noticed no difference in dynamic behavior after they were installed. Granted, the rear bolts to the shock top, so I would expect none there.

3. We all have our opinions. Mine is backed up by an engineering background and personal experience. I realize that I am in the minority on this one, and that's fine. We're all entitled to state our beliefs. Your position is just as valid as mine, since there is no conclusive evidence to prove anyone's position.

4. I just like getting a nice discussion going, and this subject was perfect.

:)
