Drum brakes vs. winter question



I've actually let brake pads wear down far enough that they have rusted to 
the drum during the humid season.  All the cables and levers were fine, but 
a light coating of rust had frozen the pads to the drum.

Loosening the nuts and beating on it with a sledge fixed it right up.
