A2 Jetta question; hard to get into reverse

Probably is the adjustment or the bushings or both.  Usually the the linkage
doesn't just go out of adjusment unless someone is messing with it so I
would check all the bushings.  The lockout is actually a simple little
plastic piece on the side of the hole in the floor where the shifter is
mounted but it's kind of a pain to replace because it is riveted.  I would
recommend replacing this also if you feel up to it.  You will need to use
rivets to put the new lock out into place as well since there isn't enough
clearance for bolts.  HTH!
