Pay no attention to the sticker on the back of the car... it's a tradename
at this point... (quattro/4motion...etc)

How the power splits front to rear...
Longitudinally mounted engine cars get the TORSEN center diff (A4, A6, A8,
Passat 4motion)

"4MOTIONT permanent all-wheel drive system, includes torque sensing center
differential (available with automatic transmission only)"

Transversally Mounted engine cars get the HALDEX wet clutch system (TT) note
this is not a differential.

how the power to the wheels is split left to right though, I won't comment
on...
