Cheapass faster steering ratio idea??



No, but the stresses in the tierod sure would get huge! With a normal
installation where the tie rod is straight the rod only experiences tension
or compression. When you put a bend in it, it also gets bending loads (much
more stress, much more deflection). The greater the bend, the greater the
stress and deflection, the less the wheel is pointing in the direction you
want.
Straight structures between pivot points are good.
