RE: Speedo noise

Sounds like a "dry" bushing/bearing in the speedometer itself, probably on
the input side.  I'd take the speedo apart and lube EVERYTHING THAT MOVES
with a light oil (not WD-40, which is very short-lived lubrication).
My opinion only, no first-hand experience.

I have this "feature"...
