The A1 knuckles are all the same.

Sorry Scott but they are not. '75-'78 have smaller balljoint holes. '78-'83 
have bigger balljoints holes but still wont fit the 100mm driveaxles. '84- 
will fit 100mm driveaxles and have bigger balljoints.


You can do all sorts of CV-joint swaps
until you're blue in the face. However, I say that your easiest solution
is to simply run a 4k close ratio box and call it a day. Spending lots
of time and energy to fit the 11" brakes also seems like a waste of
time. You simply don't need all that rotor and the increase in unsprung
weight will tax your acceleration and handling. An undrilled 10.1"
conversion is as wild as an A1 needs IMO.
