The first flywheel I got from Velocity weighed 7.5lbs. It replaced a my
stock 12lb flywheel that I had on my Scirocco.

Then later on when I did my GLi, I pulled out the stock flywheel weighing
in at 11.5lbs. I got back a 6.5lb flywheel from Velocity. So its not
just hype.

It might be a little more expensive to buy one from Velocity but I love
the part where I just HAVE it. No driving around finding a shop to
machine my flywheel. No fears that they will mess it up and then im
screwed ect.

Its just convenience that your paying for. give them a stock unit, get
back a lightened and ballanced flywheel. I'll gladly pay it again. :)
