I have to respond to this. I have a 87 16V, non-leather, non-heated
seats/mirrors or cruise for that matter and its been absolutly flawless
to me. If you want to know whats been replaced on the car here goes,
tensioner bearing ($50), 2struts and bearings, timing belt, right cv
boot and tie rod. Dont get me wrong it needs the mounts done and and
exhaust but theyre still stock. I currently have 184,000 miles on her.
If I were to ever stay away from a scirocc or volkswagen in genral it
would be anything from anywhere but germany. There's my $1.50.
