Hey Greg,
Do yourself a favor and keep your stock 16v exhaust. It is already a GREAT
exhaust and is stainless steel on all parts but the resonator and muffler. The TT
downpipe/cat is a copy of the factory downpipe cat with the same size pipe too! If
you want more power, go with cams first. A bigger exhaust will just rob low end
power and anyway, the TT system is only 2 1/4" and the stock is 2 1/8"! Almost no
difference. Just go for a cool muffler. The stock one is built pretty poorly and has
VERY tiny ports inside. I plan on a Scorpion muffler with a Brospeed header and
stock center pipe. When I get my 2.0L I'll probably get a Jetex 2.5" exhaust system
or a custom bent one (except no one around here does good exhaust work) Good
luck! if you do go for a new system at *least* don't get that downpipe if yours is ok.
