Plain, non-sudsing ammonia is also good for removing adhesive.  Same
ingredient in most window cleaners, just don't have to pay for the
pretty colors.  About 70 cents for half a gallon, pour it into a spray
bottle.

We survived removing old tint and retinting the Scir.  Used ammonia,
razor blade, and plenty of patience......
