If it's a header, 1 set of pipes all the way to the cat and not a
manifold connected to the downpipe, than it is definately not stock.  A
header will do better than the stock manifold/downpipe but it ain't
stainless steel like stock and will not last as long.  You probably
won't notice much gains with a header but maybe with the combination of
a free flow muffler there could be some difference.  Also, if you have a
header and a 1.8L 16v then keep the stock center pipe because making
that bigger will just lessen the low end and do little to the top.
