AH yes, winter and snow. I'm right on Erie, so we're getting rain
while sleet and snow whirl where the warm lake water doesn't moderate
temps so much. So I have mixed feelings, I need to get my MkI up 3
hours North of here through all that snow, and every weekend has snow
(and salt) preceding it. Which is a piss-off. And of course it's
annual Etest time for all my "even year" cars, which is five of them,
and two of the candidates are up 1 1/2 hours North with the daughter.
One has a failing clutch, after two years of no problems, and the
other? Well, that would be the Cabby, the one that failed to finish
the test two years ago because the charging system was being such a
pain that the car died on the dyno. It had run fine since then. So I
get the call last night (with a full week left on the license
deadline)..."Mom, what does it mean when I try to start the car and it
goes "Rrrr-r---rrr". Well hell. So I tell her to go get a charger for
the battery. See, if the MkI had gone North, THAT car would be HERE so
I could deal with it's bad moods. Now it'll have an expired license an
hour and a half away. Lovely. Buses are cancelled where that car is,
so I'm sure my daughter will feel like playing mechanic out in the
weather. Not. So that's the down side. BUT...in my garage I have a
nice fresh set of Nokian Hakkepeliittas, the sexy RSis. Oh my, I cant
WAIT to get them puppies mounted up and go play in  white parking lot.
And did I mention how sexy they are???) They are so sticky that I had
trouble getting them out of the Bug's hatch, they were sticking to
each other!  Mark, thanks for the contact, and I'm sure he's happy
too, I got two sets, and there are three of Adam's friends ordering
sets, so that makes five...So that's my blather for today...
