Changing shocks



I agree on the compressor.
Many times, a mounting bolt rusted to the bushing's steel sleeve can be driven out with a hammer.
It helps to "back up" the other side when doing this.  Lots of penetrant can also assist....

  Anyway, I'd suggest you get a spring compressor. Also before you jump into 
  this with both feet you might want to see if you can loosen and turn the 
  lower rear shock bolt. On occasion they rust to the shock bushing and no 
  amount of impact wrench will free them. A cutting torch is usually required.

  Just a heads up for a possible show stopper.
