Good Car Day

Mr. Technical here again.
I'm not sure you're going to be able to do much with heating or cooling the fuel distributor. Really you want to heat the fuel distributor and cool the pin, but I don't see you can do that since they are so intimate (thermally joined at the hip).
And, I agree that using a blow torch seems a little extreme.
I guess what I would try is to use some sort of penetrating oil like PB Blaster and soak the pin from both ends. Get the top via the fuel fitting at the center of the distributor. After it's been soaking a while I'd apply compressed air to the top center fuel fitting and see it that will blow it out. Have something ready to catch it if it does come out!!
Bear in mind that the pin is a precision fit into the housing. There is no seal. The pin is tight enough that a gas molecule can't get by.
So, if the pin is damaged extracting it, or it turns out it or the housing is rusted, then you might as well pitch them.

I'm happy that Cathy shared your cat love, cause I'm allergic to the little bastards and guess who they always seek out.
Dan
