Looking for a VW

Hey Rhett,
Your request reminded me, a local guy was walking by a coupla days ago who knows of my affinity for Sciroccos. He told me of a MKII in some local lot in the Dayton area. He said it looked fairly solid and ran well. The salesman offered it to him for $1200.00 I can get more info. on it if you like.

Woohoo this weekend I was able to fix the daily driver... Saturday morning
I got up early, popped the hood to the 01 Jetta.. Removed the engine cover,
unscrewed the two air box cover screws... Undid the hose clamp going to the
MAF sensor.. Unscrewed the two screw that holds the MAF in the air box..
Then reinstalled the new MAF and everything else in reverse sequence..

Start it up... ummm nice smooth idle, no secondary air pump going crazy..
So I took a nice Saturday morning cruise around town then down some
backroad.. I followed it up on a quick highway 3rd gear pull in to 4th gear
which almost lead to trouble with the law... But I must have slowed down in
time...

I guess I will take:

G) Recieving Red-Goodnes Hatch cover from f) above and delivering some tasty porter!!! Not To mention getting that GREAT breast Cancer awareness quarter from Canada. Which has made me the envy of the research team I work with.

Cathy Any chance I can get 2 more of them? I was almost attacked by the 2 ladies I work with because of it. I can send you to US ones in exchange.... I think that is a good trade, No?

Hey folks, I am interested in getting another VW to replace my beloved Z24.
The Z24 just needs too much work right now and I want to be focusing on the
Rocco. I'm looking for either a solid MKII rocco or a2/3 Golf or 2dr jetta.
I'll have about $1500 for the car and could pinch out probably about $500
for me to come get it if traveling in nessicary. Also I'll only have 48
hours to get the car and return to IA as I can only get 2 days in a row off.
I have been checking the 'tex and have a local possibility, but I'd be
interested in what you all can come up with.

THANKS!!!
Rhett

Well it was a rather nice weekend we had here in the lovely state of Texas.
Saturday went out to Patrick's to shoot the shit and grab some needed parts
for the 88, seeing as how I hadn't seen him in a while it was more shoot the
shit which was nice.

Then Sunday after working in the yard early in the morning the family
re-arranged the garage, I had installed pull down stairs to the attic and
decked a 8x12 area for crap storage. Ah more floor space in the garage and
an area to build a work bench. Later in the afternoon I did a some wiring
repair, got a nice hand peel, when I laid the iron on my hand. Went to the
rear brakes to determine why the the ebake wasn't working so well, go figure
both sides the ebrake mechanism is frozen. So I went to Autozone and ordered
some remans, came back cleaned up everything and called it a day. Had a nice
dinner with the family and enjoyed a quiet evening at home.

Brian
