Suggestions for a stripped bolt



To add to what David wrote, make the first hit with the chisel on the 
outside circumference of the bolt head, but aimed directly at the center 
of the bolt head, with the purpose being to create a nice groove or 
"step". Then you can aim the chisel at an angle so that you will be 
moving it counterclockwise to loosen it and walk the bolt out.
