OT (A little): Car classifications & which model to race

If it were me? I'd figure out what I wanted from the car, and then figure
out where that puts the car. So long as you aren't a danger on the track,
you have the car you want out of it. I bought Klaus specifically so I
wouldn't race directly against Dennis in the headache, we would have been
in different classes. But the rules changed before I ever got Klaus to the
track. We've survived four different sanctioning bodies, all with very
different rules. If I'd built to one of those rulebooks, I'd be ticked off.
I imagine SCCA is more stable, but still, it's your car. Check the
guidelines and build to what you can live with I'd say. Maybe see if you
can score some seat time in some prepped examples of each type, then you'll
know which is the better fit. And MkIs rock. But so do 16Vs. :)
