Painting bumpers

When I restored my 83, I had the bumpers painted black to match the body.
The painter mixed in a flex agent and they lasted for years until the car
was totalled by the next owner. It was Sikkens paint by the way.

On my Dasher, it has softer - more rubberized bumpers and I used the Krylon
Fusion paint as an experiment. It came out GREAT. I was pleasantly
surprised. The durability is good, too. Only the slightest of
rock-chipping that is easily touched up. Prep included a soap-water
scrubbing, scuffing it with a Scotchbrite pad, washing with brake-clean, and
painting. That easy.
