One of my eventual body mods for my car is to shave the rear hatch
button lock thing and the "Volkswagen" badge put a more modern VW
emblem in the center, largely so people will have some idea what it
is.  Arent there even some newer VWs that have a badge/latch combo
thing?  I want to say Touareg, maybe?  That'd be a slick retrofit.

I have been waved at by other VW (non-rocc) drivers before, though. 
That always makes me smile.
