9.4 brakes



Gonna disagree there.  Big time.

The early cars had a couple different styles of calipers.  If a non-Kelsey 
Hayes caliper is on the spindle, there is a good chance that the caliper 
bolt pattern/spacing is WAY too small for bolting up Kelsy Hayes calipers to 
use thinner pads and 9.4 vented rotors (not possible with the other early 
calipers) and therefore also impossible to bolt up the 10.1 rotors and 
calipers.

In around 1980 it was all taken to the later KH caliper, and the ball joint 
diameter was also increased from something like 18 to 20mm.

There is no difference in the housing as far as mounting the brake
caliper is concerned for 9.4 non-vented, 9.4 vented or 10.1.
There is a difference in the housing to accommodate the 100mm outer CV
though. According to ETKA this changed happened mid 84 although my
late 84 did not have them.
