Speaking of speedo's

I have the stock 2Y tranny with a big ole .75 5th.  I have replaced the
speedo gear with I think the correct red one.  My speedo reads about 10 mph
high at indicated 45 but gets closer to accurate at 100 and above according
to *ahem* radar tests(ind 85 is really 79).  What gives?  Did I get the
wrong gear?
