What was that Scirocco subject again?

Well, that is correct, but it is hard to tell from Dale's original post if
the disc brake rear axle is coming out of a Scirocco (A1 and WOULD bolt
right in) or an A2 Golf/Jetta. If it is off any other chassis, you can just
pull everything from the stub axles out and swap that over.

Making an 8V into a 16V is not worth it. At all. You would have to change
pistons for correct compression, and valve clearance. The crank pulley and
tensioner are different, etc etc. Just get a 16V engine if that is what you
want. But for a newbie - the 8V is simple and beefy.
