Cap'n Oil Change Strikes (out) Again!

After smoking a Victory Cig, I'm back to typin'!

I've decided that it just wasn't tight enough. I took the filter
wrench and did what you're not supposed to do and gave it another half
turn with that. Refilled, started it up, and no leaks. Though
considering this car is a Scirocco, I've loaded the trunk with 7
quarts of oil, a new filter, and the wrench.

One would think that these cars would cooperate at least on this
weekend given that we are gathering to celebrate them. Why is it the
guest of honor is always such a pain in the ass?

At any rate, no waxing will be done and I'll be lucky if I have time
to run it to the do it yourself car wash. But since it's looking like
rain and I've got ~450 miles to travel tomorrow, that might not happen
until I near Mecca.

Lastly, Cincy related: Daun, if you have a radio that picks up the
scirocco channel (5) from the Motorola two-ways, why not keep it
on/open so we can call in when we get off the freeway? Might provide
a little mindless entertainment while you await the faithful.

T-12 hours and I should be 30 min out the door.
