OT - Need XP help

Jeff,
download xp sp2 and burn it to cd, then do your re-install, this time
without the internet connection (i.e. not plugged in). once installed, throw
in the sp2 cd and update xp to sp2 with it. ensure the firewall is enabled.
this should let you connect to the net and minimize the possibility of
getting extra crap (spyware) on the pc - at least during the 'vulnerable
period' where you have a connection but no protection.
