81s 3a bad idle and stuttering



got to love roccos and there odd habits. This a all of a sudden new problem 
it started after fixing the vacum leak and the knock sensor being 
disconected it ran fine for 2 weeks after fixing those problems then one 
night on the way home from work acted up.
I now know it is not the alternator checked that today at the auto parts 
store. I am still thinking it is the coil but going to have it retimed again 
tommorow. (It appears it might be the original coil says made in west 
germany by bosch)

I want to get the stupid problems fixed so I can get it to pass smog and 
start throwing hp at it. Need to get this problem and the cat fixed (it has 
original cat 200,000 miles on it) first time the car passed emissions but 
not visual now passes visual but not emissions
