rewiring a stereo



I run a trigger wire to a relay from the "key in wire" in the ignition. This
is for the red power wire. This way the radio goes off when the key is
removed. This relay gets power from the battery. The yellow, constant power,
doesn't need to be a heavy gauge wire That can be almost constant source
like the lighter.

ignition, sound doable? It's current configuration has the yellow and red
wire join together into 1 that goes who knows where. I get power to the deck
but it won't turn on, it's like it doesn't realize the car is on.
