Air filter

I put in my K&N air filter the other day and now my car is bogging when I
let off the gas after coming to a stop. It then surges back up and back down
a couple times until it find the right idle. On my way home from work today
I even saw my battery light flash for a split second while it was bogging
down, this could be from leaving my lights on (well parking lights at least,
thank god the car wasn?t on) for 10+ hours while working. I put the filter
in since my mechanic didn?t have time to throw it in at the end of the day,
when putting it in I found it WAY harder to do than my ?85 cabriolet. There
are numerous wires and what-not all over the place holding the top half
down, so I had to lift it as far as I could and slip the old one out and
replace it with the new one. I started the car and went back under the hood
to recheck the clips and make sure everything was running alright, I noticed
that a tube at the bottom had slipped out of its hole slightly so I jammed
it back into place. I?m worried that I may have un-plugged some other stuff
that is not visible and may be causing my surges. Any ideas?

 

.. but damn, my low end is semi-back (seeing how I blew my exhaust gasket on
the manifold, yet another thing to get done when the next paycheck comes in)
