rewiring a stereo

Fan switch harness? As in the wires coming from my climate control? Which one? There was an aftermarket radio installed prior to me getting it, so the wires are a disaster. It all needs to be redone with new wires unfortunately. You should see the gouges in my hands from the sharp pokey bits inside my doors. Thank God for small arms and hands and long fingers.

for ignition-on power, tap from the fan switch harness.
for constant power, there should be an existing line there (as the stock vw
stereo connects to constant power).
both are fused already, no need to go for the fuse block.
