16v runs and then dies , very intermitent , any clues ??

Aaron,

Weren't you also having questions about your in-tank pump
not running?  This is a definate symptom of that.  The main
pump overheats and shuts down, therefore causing the stall.
 Let it sit for a few, and it'll fire back up.

Replace the in-tank pump.
