[FOOLISHNESS] VW's Gone Wild

not that im trying to defend those jokers, but wouldnt they need some form
of warrant to sieze the video tape evidence? along the lines of the fact
that its not the law for you to incriminate yourself. wouldnt the tape be
doing that? also, video tapes are generally not admissable in court, and if
they are admitted, they are only considered under the oath of the person
running the camera (the fact that they are unaltered). this follows the
lines of the miranda rights. you basically tell the dumbass not to say
anything so they dont incriminate themselves. i seriously doubt that guy
jumped out and said 'here officer, check out this cool video!'. example: i
could photoshop a shot of the speedo in the rieger, making it appear that it
was doing 160 mph. there would be no case against me as there is no way to
validate the photo without my agreement that it was authentic, and even if i
claimed it was authentic (as silly as that may be for me to incriminate
myself), its still only my word, and not taken as some form of 'video/photo
factual data'.

(probably way wrong - someone please fix me if so)
Al
