I recall somewhat talking to Scott about this considering that he has a hot smoking 2.0 16V with
ITB's in a gutted MK I.
IIRC he was more concerned about getting second and third gears into the speed range that he thought
appropriate for his type of driving/rallying and that was the reason for going with the 4.25 FD.
