[TECH] 3a/JH HYbrid need help...please!



Dan, I understand what you are saying;

The knock box uses it electrical inputs and vacuum line to adjust itself to
the crank position, now the vacuum of the knock has been set to the booster
port of the line that runs from the booster to the intake manifold, and yeah
the timing and idle has MUCHO improved.

But I am not convinced I need a 3a distro, because well EVRYONE says you can
use a JH distro, and too many companies are selling the conversion kit
adaptor plate and gears for the JH distro to be used with a 3a block.

blocking the advance vacuum post on the distro may or may not be the right
way of doing it, (though I would not see why we be using an KS vacuum
advance AND a JH distro advance as well (then again maybe I should try to
see what would come of it by reconnecting the JH distro into the TB port
where it used to be before.

IF any 3a/JH hybrid rocco-head has this setup please speak up, I have right
now the timing on +6 (timing light) and duty cycle at 29-39 % (26-31 is too
lean the car stalls on idle all the time)

Pointers really appreciated at this point.
