KS distributor, was Re: 1.8 8v jh swap done......no power

If you're using the standard JH distributor, even with vacuum advance
disabled, in conjunction with Knock Sensor ignition you'll have WAY too much
advance above idle. The KS box needs a signal that is fixed relative to
crankshaft position. All the advance is done electronically. The JH
distributor will add 24 degrees of advance on top of the KS advance.
Tell me I misread your statement and you're not using the JH distributor.
Just wanting your engine to be all it can be!
