Chance for an MK1

Deck-
  Jumping the relay will not bring a dead pump back to life, just keep it in mind.
 One other thing for William to keep in mind is that a car that won't run because of a "dead fuel pump", or a "just needs a started/battery/ignition switch" can be big trouble.
Always assume the worst.....until proven otherwise.

  Hi William;
      If they say it needs a fuel pump and that is the reason it is not
  running
  take your jumper wire and remove the fuel pump relay and insert the jumper.
  If the people say it "just stopped running" or "we can't start it" My VW
  mechanic Harvey and I are usualy able to drive away with a supposedly dead
  mark 1 Scirocco, Rabbit or Dasher.
