SIngle wipers

I managed to get a single wiper cheap recently. Which I figured was
good because wasn't sure if it would fit on my car?
When I tried to install it I found that I would have to do some
fabrication and customizing to make it work. For those of you who may have
done this I'm wondering what you did to make it fit, and was there a special
wiper arm for the single wiper set up.
To be honest I'm not even sure if I want this mod but the price was
right and I figured I'd give it a try.
