Hi T;
    I have a 1986 Audi 1800 Hyd 8V in my 79 Scirocco with it's 6 speed and
Quaife. It is a 10 to 1 compression engine and had a knock sensor system in
the Donor Audi. I runs real well in my Scirocco with a TT long non-cat down
pipe and a two and a half inch exhaust with 14 inch turbo muffler. I used
the Audi throttle body on a 1983 GTI intake manifold ported to match. I'm
running a stock Rabbit set of points on straight mechanical advance ( no
Vacuum ). The timing is at 37 degrees total advance and it runs great but I
do use premium gas. This engine ran great stock but really woke up when I
installed a 272 cam (German hydraulic). I'm using an adjustable cam pulley
with the cam advanced two and a half degrees. I have a set of heavy duty
valve springs I will put in this week. The engine pulls strong to 6 grand
and would go farther but I try not to till I get in my new springs.
