Wierd oil problem

if the light only comes on at 2000 rpm or greater, you are tripping the
dynamic oil pressure switch. there are 2 pressure switches. one covers the
full range (and is set to a very low pressure), and another checks a higher
pressure, but the actual ssytem doesnt hit this pressure until it nears 2000
rpm, so there is a PCB (what dan was talking about) that senses rpm and
doesnt turn on the buzzer until you go past 2000. there is also a time
dealy, which i think is 2 or 5 seconds, before the buzzer actually starts
buzzing.
if you hit the buzzer 2 or 5 seconds after going past 2000 rpm, and it
happens every time, the wire may have come off of the dynamic pressure
sensor (its on the oil filter flange).
note: you can check this without the car moving (just rev to 2500 rpm and
see if it starts buzzing).

30 seconds into the drive and stays on until I turn engine off. At times
when I stall (CIS shizz) in traffic, I restart and have same results.
Nothing until I start moving and then 30 seconds into it: blink blink blink.
It shouldn't be low on oil. As I don't wish to rebuild it again, I've been
fairly religious in checking and changing the oil. And as I drive 500
miles/week for work, I've been changing it about once a month. In fact,
just ordered 20 drain plug washers a couple of weeks ago. Can't remember
the last time I changed the old washer, but it was getting bent out of
shape.
